The Cherub choir meets as a part of the Sing and Celebrate Program on Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m. It is for preschool aged children. The children have a great time singing, doing musical activities, and learning together. The choir leaders are Melinda Williams and Willette Wise.
The Angel choir meets as a part of the Sing and Celebrate Program on Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m. It is for children who are currently in Kindergarten and 1st grade. The children have a great time singing, ringing children’s handbells, and learning together. The choir leaders are Jennifer Smith and Elizabeth Klapman.
The Seraph Singers meet as a part of the Sing and Celebrate Program on Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m. It is for children who are currently in the 2nd through the 5th grade. The children have a great time singing, playing Orff and percussion instruments, preparing musical skits, caroling, and being together for other activities. The choir leaders are Gale McLeod, Jenny Wright, Irelou Moye, and Nancy Stone-Collum.
The Youth Choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. It is for youth who are currently in the 6th through the 12th grade. This choir has been attending the YouthCue choir festival at Carson-Newman College in Tennessee for the past 3 years. They sing in 4-part harmony and lead the services several times throughout the year. The choir leaders are Sharon Witherell and Irelou Moye.
The Transfigure Ringers is a beginning to early intermediate handbell choir that meets on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. It is for youth and adults who want to experience the joy and challenge of ringing handbells. Currently the choir uses 3 octaves of bells. The choir is directed by Sharon Witherell.
The Mt. Tabor Ringers is an advanced handbell choir that meets on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. It is for youth and adults who enjoy the challenge of ringing on an advanced level. This group traditionally goes to the Lutheridge Handbell weekend in late February to keep their skills polished. The choir uses 5+ octaves of bells and 4 octaves of chimes. The choir is directed by Sharon Witherell.
The Morning Hymn Choir is a vocal choir for youth and adults who may or may not read music but would like to be part of the musical leadership for the 8:30 service. The choir meets at 8 a.m. on Sunday mornings to rehearse a hymn to sing during the offering for the 8:30 service and is directed by Sharon Witherell.
The Adult Choir is a vocal ensemble for adults who like the challenge of singing in 4-part harmony. This choir is the primary musical leadership for the 11:15 service. The musical selections they prepare range from the classics to freshly composed anthems. The choir is directed by Sharon Witherell and Luke Witherell.
